What are injectable fillers?

Injectable Fillers areused to fill out wrinkles, lines and furrows giving you a younger appearance.. When injected beneath the skin fillers plump up creased and lined areas of the face. Fillers can be used to add fullness to the lips and cheeks. Injectabe fillerscan be used for deep smile lines, nasolabial furrows (lines running from the nose to the mouth), crows feet, smoker's lines (perioral lines), frown lines, marionette lines (lines that "drag down" the corners of the mouth), facial scars, acne scars and cheek depressions.

Does the treatment hurt?
Fillers are injected using a very fine needle. There is minimal pain associated with the injection. No local anaesthetic is required and you can resume normal activities immediately. The treatment time is between 15-30 minutes depending on the amount of injection sites.


Will I see immediate results?
The results of the injectable fillers is immediate. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.

How long does an injectable filler last?
You can choose to have njectable fillers that are either permanent, temporary. Temporary injectable fillers can last from 3-6 months.

Are injectable fillers safe?
Allergic reaction can be a risk with some fillers. To help determine if you are allergic to the substance,the doctor will perform an allergy skin test about a month before the procedure. After the test is performed, the test site should be watched carefully for three or four weeks.

Are there any risks?
Risks not necessarily related to allergies include infection, open sores, skin peeling, scarring and lumpiness, which may persist over the treated area. Reports of these problems are very rare.
